Laundry Services in Denver?
Hello, I am trying to locate a Laundry Service in Denver. The only one I have found[Dry Cleaning Valet] does not service the area my home is in. I am looking for a place that will wash and fold w/ a price per pound. These are common in Florida where I just moved from...but I have only found one here. I do not have a washer/dryer hook up and no time to go to a coin laundry.... Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would try the Laundromats, many offer this service.I'm In Aurora and have seen signs saying they would. Good Luck

Social Services is Legally Kidnapping my 1 year old daughter. Is there anyone who can help?
Social Services is legally kidnapping my daughter. My daughter was born April 17th, 2009 at 2:16PM in Denver, Colorado. She was taken October 19th, 2009. Before she was taken, she could say Hi, mama, dada, baba, I love you, I'm hungry, and no. After she was taken, she could no longer say any of the words that she once knew, and Social Services wrote in the court papers that "Monica would sit with Selene for hours teaching her how to talk, which does not appear to be proper parenting". So I spent time with my daughter while she was awake. Yeah, I would sit there and talk to her, when she got hungry I'd make her a bottle, I'd show it to her, I'd say baba and then I'd hand it to her. And yet, its not proper parenting. Now, let me explain the situation a little. I have two messed up knees. The MCL ligaments in both of my legs are torn, and I went to Childrens Hospital (which works directly with Social Services) for 4 years and they couldn't figure it out through X-Rays, Physical Therapy, etc. Therefore, my knees are still messed up, 6 years later, so its more difficult for me to clean. I don't have a wheelchair or any walking assisstance, so it takes me a bit longer than it does for other people to clean. The exterminators came to our apartment October 17th, via request of the apartment management. They had exterminators spray all the buildings every month to every 3 months for bed bugs and cockroaches, yet the buildings were still infested (Pine Creek Apartments on Dayton and Alameda). My husband and I found a way to keep the bed bugs and cockroaches out of our home, burning incense. It doesn't kill them, but something about the smell keeps them away. When the exterminators come, you (the tenants) have to take everything out from the closets, under the sinks, take everything out of the cupboards, dishwasher, etc. and move everything (including furniture) to the center of each room. So you can imagine the difficulty. I was in the process of cleaning when our next door neighbors (whom we had numerous problems with ever since we moved in) called the police on October 19th and made a false complaint, claiming someone was getting killed in our apartment. The police came, saw no one was dying and that I was actually in the process of cleaning while my husband got ready to leave for his morning job. The police came in, told me to take my daughter and go outside. Due to my past traumatization with Police from when I was in Social Services 'care' myself, so I was freaking out. So, I decided to hand my daughter to my husband, go outside, smoke a cigarette and calm down. Afterall, the only thing different I was doing from what the officer told me is I wasn't taking my daughter with me outside because I was too upset to handle her at that moment. Afterall, if you had been physically and emotionally abused by social services and police to the point where I still have nightmares and wake up at least once a week thinking I'm back in that hell hole, would you take your 6month old outside with you while your crying and freaking out because the police pull you out of the house when you open the door after they threaten to break it down, and put you in handcuffs when you were just cleaning? I don't think so. So, I start walking to the stairs, and one of the officers, the same one who told me to go outside with my daughter says "where are you going, downstairs?" and I reply "well yea isn't that what you told me to do?" and she says to me "Well if you go out that door I'm going to send your daughter to social services under abandonment". So, I lost my temper. I didn't want my daughter to have to experience the horrors I went through in the Social services system. So I went to the officer and I told her "how dare you say you will send my daughter to social services when I was going outside like you asked me to, just her father is watching her right now until I calm down!" so, I walk back into our apartment, sit next to my daughter, and I hear a knock at the door. The female officer goes to the door, comes back and throws the eviction papers at me and says "You've been served". I start freaking out worse because my husband only makes $100/week working at UPS. We were barely making rent, while on foodstamps and TANF. Our rent was $450/month plus $50 utilities. We had no money saved up for a security deposit on a new place, nothing. So, I can't handle it so I go to walk into our room, because I'm not going to smoke a cigarette in front of my daughter, but I was freaking out to hyperventilation point, and cigarettes help me calm down. And since they threatened to send my daughter to social services if I went outside, I decided to go to our room and smoke out the window. I start walking to our bedroom door, and the female officer starts pushing me into the living ro The judge won't listen, the last courtdate I fired my lawyer and I tried to explain the judge but I didn't even get two words out before the judge said that I need to hire another lawyer and the lawyer needs to defend me, I can't say anything myself. We are paying $2k for our current lawyer, the judge we currently have is David Brettwood, my complete involvement with social services is when I was 2 I was taken from my biological mother along with my brother who was 3 at the time, my brother an I were seperated and I was adopted out when I was 4 1/2 in October of 1994. I was removed from my adoption parents in May of 2001 for child abuse (my mom kicked and slapped me in a Library), in my foster home my job was to go outside and clean up the dog poop from the foster mothers dog. Every day her dog would attack me and tear up my arms and the foster mother would tell me if I were a better person maybe it wouldn't happen. I was placed back with my adoption family at 14 years old, I was in the Army but was discharged when I found out I was pregnant, I went to Social Services to try to find my bio fam, only to be told their files were destroyed and theres no way to find them, found my brother on myspace, and now they have my daughter. Social Services recieves $4,,000-$6,000 from the government for every child they adopt out. For every mentally disabled child they get an additional $2,000 on top of the $4,000-$6,000. Thats why there are so many mis-diagnosis of bipolar, schizophrenia, etc. in the Social Services system. Why thank you puppysyndrome. All I did was every time I saw my daughter awake on the baby monitor (audio, video and night-vision baby monitor), I would go and talk to her, let her watch her cartoons (her favorite was Jane and the dragon), and I'd show her things (such as her bottle, formula, diapers, etc.) and I'd say a simplified way of saying each item, (bottle=baba, formula=yum yum, diaper=diapy, etc.) and she started learning more and more. It just goes to show if your willing to spend time with your children, the possibilities are endless. I learned how to read before I started kindergarten because my mom gave me a choice. Either I sit on the step, or I read my book for a minimum of 2 hours a day. I hated it, but I knew how to read before I started school.

TMI TMI, tell it to the judge.
(General Question) Do people make better laws than God?
BELOW IS THE LIST OF 120 INTERESTING LAWS FROM US CITIES: It's legal for couples to have sex in a parked vehicle during their lunch break from work, as long as the car or van has drawn curtains to stop strangers from peeking in New Mexico. In Canada, It is illegal for a teen to walk down main street for Fort Qu'Appelle with their shoes untied. In Canada, It is illegal to leave your horse in front of the Country Squire without hitching it securely to the hitching post. In Alabama, it is illegal for a driver to be blindfolded while operating a vehicle. In Norfolk, Virginia, a woman can't go out without wearing a corset. (There was a civil-service job- for men only- called a corset inspector.) In Connecticut, You can be stopped by the police for biking over 65 miles per hour. It is unlawful to lend your vacuum cleaner to your next-door neighbor in Denver. In Woodstock, NY it is illegal to walk your bear on the street without a leash. In Merryville, Missouri, women are prohibited from wearing corsets because "the privilege of admiring the curvaceous, unenbered body of a young woman should not be denied to the normal, red-blooded American male." It's safe to make love while parked in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Police officers aren't allowed to walk up and knock on the window. Any suious officer who thinks that sex is taking place must drive up from behind, honk his horn three times and wait approximately two minutes before getting out of his car to investigate. In California, community leaders passed an ordinance that makes it illegal for anyone to try and stop a child from playfully jumping over puddles of water. In Connecticut, you are not allowed to walk across a street on your hands. In Florida, women may be fined for falling asleep under a hair dryer, as can the salon owner. No man is allowed to make love to his wife with the smell of garlic, onions, or sardines on his breath in Alexandria, Minnesota. If his wife so requests, law mandates that he must brush his teeth. In Florida, a special law prohibits unmarried women from parachuting on Sunday or she shall risk arrest, fine, and/or jailing. In New York, a fine of $25 can be levied for flirting. This old law specifically prohibits men from turning around on any city street and looking "at a woman in that way." A second conviction for a crime of this magnitude calls for the violating male to be forced to wear a "pair of horse-blinders" wherever and whenever he goes outside for a stroll. An ordinance in Newcastle, Wyoming, specifically bans couples from having sex while standing inside a store's walk-in-meat freezer! In Florida, if an elephant is left tied to a parking meter, the parking fee has to be paid just as it would for a vehicle. It is illegal to sing in a public place while attired in a swimsuit in Sarasota Florida. The owner of every hotel in Hastings, Nebraska, is required to provide each guest with a clean and pressed nightshirt. No couple, even if they are married, may sleep together in the nude. Nor may they have sex unless they are wearing one of these clean, white cotton nightshirts. Citizens are not allowed to attend a movie house or theater nor ride in a public streetcar within at least four hours after eating garlic in Indiana. In New Mexico, females are strictly forbidden to appear unshaven in public. Men may not be seen publicly in any kind of strapless gown in Florida. Females are forbidden from doing their own hair without being licensed by the state in Ohio. In Florida, any form of sexual contact other than missionary position is a misdomeanor. (This is still a law. There have been several cases of people being brought up on these charges in the past 5 years alone. If the police enter a home with a warrent for some other crime and catch the 'culprits' in action, they can, and are, brought up on those charges.) In fire-sensitive Chicago, it is against the law to eat in an establishment that is on fire. In Michigan, a man legally owns his wife's hair. In Illinois, it is illegal for anyone to give lighted cigars to dogs, cats, and other domesticated animal kept as pets. Women in Joliet, Illinois, can be arrested for trying on more than six dresses in one store. Anyone interupting a meeting of the British Columbia Grasshopper Control Committee can be arrested. In Indiana, bathing is prohibited during the winter. Winnetka, Illinois theater managers can kick out any patron who has "odoriferous feet." We're not sure what led to this one: In Natoma, Kansas it's against the law to practice knife throwing at men wearing striped suits. It is illegal for a man to drink with a woman in an Edmonton beer parlour in Alberta. Biting someone with your natural teeth is "simple assault," while biting someone with your false teeth

The Lord God above does not make "laws". Laws are for the world of man. The Lord God is above and Father of the All. :D Peace and Blessings
